PRIORITY REGISTRATION:
Currently enrolled families are given priority for next year’s classes! You may register your child, or other eligible children, in the appropriate class of your choice using the “Priority Enrollment Form”.
Both the form and the registration fee of $55.00 must be submitted to insure a spot in a class for the 2012-2013 school year. Families must be up-to-date with tuition payments to be officially enrolled for the following year.
Priority enrollment will take place from Wednesday, February 1 – 4p.m. on Wednesday, February 15. Priority will end for currently enrolled families immediately following this deadline.
GENERAL REGISTRATION:
Enrollment for the general public will begin Tuesday, February 21.
The “General Enrollment Form” along with the $55.00 registration fee will be ACCEPTED BY MAIL ONLY from Tuesday, February 21 – Monday, February 27. Form and fee must be mailed directly to Northfield Nursery School, 1401 S. Maple St., Northfield MN 55057, “Attn: Registrar”.
Order of enrollment will first be determined by the date stamped on the envelope by the post office. From there enrollment will become a lottery within each day of this first week.
Families will be notified of official enrollment on or about Tuesday, February 28.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: A full week to collect mailed forms gives the NNS Registrar time to account for any lag time in delivery – we are aware that some areas deliver more quickly than others. Also, it is highly likely we will receive more than one enrollment form on any given day during the first week of registration; hence the daily lottery system. Any forms received during this first week of registration postmarked EARLIER than February 21, or dropped off at NNS directly, will be filed behind envelopes postmarked February 21 – February 27. There is no perfect way to accommodate all interested families; we can only do our best to keep things as fair as possible.
Beginning Tuesday, February 28, the General Enrollment Form along with the registration fee may be mailed, or dropped off, to NNS directly. Enrollment from this point forward will be on a “first received, first served” basis until classes are filled. Families will be notified of their enrollment status as soon as possible upon receipt of registration materials.
Exceptions may be made at the Registrar’s discretion to maintain class balance (NNS Handbook, p. 8).
